Still touching up the rails by hand, but also now need to make a decision between using 4 AB 1 templates for the fins or attempt to make a set of Rich Pavel Speed Dialer fins.. Any suggestions...??
Hi Duncan, was after some advice, if you dont mind, when cutting the deck and the bottom shape, why is the shape larger than the skeleton? Kind Regards - Karl
Stoked to be able to assist. I cut the deck and bottom shape wide for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, it was easier to be accurate in the final shape by sanding it back to the rail-band.
and secondly, by having it wide I could drill little holes outside that I could thread cable ties through to help when glueing it all down. These holes then disappear when you sand it back to the rail-band (I think there may be a photo somewhere on this blog that might show it).
I do like the speed dialers, but they will be harder to shape. Will be a rewarding job though. So 1 vote for Speed dialers!

Good luck! The skeleton looks great so far.
