portable shaping cradle

We came up with the idea of a portabe shaping cradle which could be clamped to any work bench. Duncs and i knocked it up with a bit of scrap and carpet underlay for padding. It will help in the shaping stage which i havent reached. Have the tail pieces glued on so far. Using 100% cork for the tail and rails

  2. Also, just letting you know, I spoke to Ben tonight, he knows you've got the flush cutter router now. No worries, keep it as long as you need it.

  3. Hi there, boards looking great, cool idea with the table too, going back to the beginning, i wanted to ask you guys if when adding the sides to the frame can ply be used? Ive just added 1/4" pine and it just didn't work, not enough flex in the nose! - Cheers Karl

  4. Hi Karl,
we used 4mm marine ply for the entire board. The frames and the skins are all marine ply. Its great to work with and easy to sand. For the rails i am using bending cork, whilst Duncan used a mix of cork and bending ply. Have you got any photos of the build? Would love to follow the progress. Cheers
